About Arthur Babiarz

Arthur Babiarz Arthur has been interested in art and photography since childhood. His drawings, paintings, and later design were often influenced by photography. His camera, which he always carries with him, is his "vision extension".

Born and raised in Poland, where he studied fine art and design, Arthur then received his MFA degree. His image creation and photographic skills are applied to both his professional and artistic activities. As a university level visual art and graphic design instructor, Arthur also teaches digital photography and post-production editing.

Arthur volunteers with a number of organizations, providing design and photography services. His work features nature, people, and human creations that are woven together, often producing unexpected results. "This compilation of images fills our environment with new symbols and dynamic experiences. This is a place that we live, and as a consequence, we are shaped by it," he says.

Many of Arthur's art pieces can be classified into sets of cycles or series that he creates where each one represents an original way of depiction and portrayal. The latest ones are called Arraygraphy, Emotions, Good Way - Better Way, Jazz, and Photo-graphics. The artist's aim is to create stimulating and inspirational artworks within a universal visual language.

Arraygraphy is Arthur's bona fide creation. These poly-form compositions resemble concertos of shape, colour, texture and direction.

A comparison to music is intentional here. As with the arrangement of musical sound tones, Arraygraphy creatively disperses abstract elements on canvas to stimulate the viewer's imagination and emotions. Multi-layered composition adds to this two-dimensional artwork both creative complexity and depth, heightening the overall expressive qualities of each piece.

The Arraygraphy style is intended to positively stimulate the viewer's imagination, guiding his or her emotions through the meanderings of an intriguing visual plot; the experience can evoke the sense of participation in an improvisational play or venturing into the ever-changing patterns of jazz. Arthur's works of Arraygraphy provide endless interpretations to marvel at and enjoy.

The Emotions (copyright Arthur Babiarz) is a set of images which explores human facial expressions. The images are composed of simple forms, such as arcs, squares and lines, used in combination to create distinctive and original visages.

The artist imaginatively combines those elements to construct amiable and welcoming impressions of colourful countenances. The Emotions portrayals prove to be a positive addition to both corporate and private settings.

The intriguing appeal of these pieces, particularly when displayed as a set, greatly enhance any lobby, waiting area or boardroom, for example, and always command a remarkably positive response from clients and colleagues alike.
